Who is Inhabit Edmonton? What is Inhabit Edmonton? What does it even mean to Inhabit Edmonton ? Questions I ask myself almost daily. I figure now is a time better than any to introduce myself. My name is Bennett Geldart, and I am a Realtor with Re/Max Excellence here in Edmonton. I started this account as a way to showcase some of the homes that make this city such a special place. Having grown up in Edmonton, I’ve always had a love for this city, it’s people, and believe i...t or not the real estate market here! I am a firm believer that Edmonton as a city means something different to everyone. This can be shown in the contrast between people who call it Deadmonton, versus those who wear Still In Edmonton shirts. Whether you want to live downtown next to a local cocktail bar, near nature and our great trail systems, or even if you’re just wanting a family oriented community, Edmonton has it all. As our city grows we have the opportunity to choose how we would like to Inhabit it. What types of housing do we value in this city? How does that reflect on us as people? What are housing and infrastructure issues that Edmontonians might clash on? All of these questions are pertinent to real estate, and I believe apart of a larger dialogue I am wanting to create as a Realtor. Where we choose to inhabit becomes our day to day, and apart of us as people. Inhabiting Edmonton for me in the past year with the pandemic has meant more than just the walls I’ve been staring at while quarantining. For me it’s been about finding a way to feel at home, even when the city I call home feels so different than before.
