Inhale Exhale Massage Therapy 03.06.2021

We are all dancing merrily at the clinic as today was a pretty good day given the circumstances. I am dancing as a type! First, we are open, open, OPEN! We do not have to close, we do not need a letter, we just need you to book yourself in and receive a wonderfully relaxing or therapeutic massage, or reiki session, or reflexology, or prenatal, postnatal, raindrop, cranio, wellness, TMJ....we offer a lot ! Secondly, we had a lovely person from AHS come in to check out our prot...ocols and procedures and to ensure our cleaners are up to the task. You know what I was told? " You are cleaning way more then most and doing a great job of it" Boom! Mind blown, feet dancing, super happy moment. She was really impressed with our way of navigating this, super happy with our cleaners and how we clean, and I am pretty sure she will be back for a massage...probably well deserved. That is the news from us. We are all so happy to be able to continue to serve our community and to offer a safe and apparently really clean space! LOL See you soon on the massage table, Janine Photo credit to Charles M Schulz...thanks for creating Snoopy

First off the announcement was today...who knew?! I was skating when I was told about what was going on. I had heard many dates but, today was not on the list! Anyway, I am glad to know what is coming and to share how we are moving forward. Restrictions are in place until Jan 21st. What that means for massage, is that you still need a prescription or referral from a regulated health care provider. Follow the link for this list Regulated health professions and colleges | Alber...Continue reading

I hope you had an enjoyable break, filled with baked goods, food, laughter and joy. The clinic is opening its doors on Jan 4th with a limited re-opening. I touched on this a few weeks ago...I think, I have no idea what day of the week it is right now!... What limited means: Basically, to receive a massage you need a doctors prescription or health care providers (Regulated health professions and colleges | Alberta.ca referral letter. I strongly suggest using a provider that you have used in the past. A referral letter template can be provided if you need. With this requirement, online booking is restricted. Online booking is enabled, however approval of your booking will only be given once a photo or scanned copy of the prescription/referral is texted or emailed to the clinic. If in 24 hours the prescription/referral is not received, your appointment will be cancelled. Please bring the hard copy with you on your appointment date. This is a must right now. Without a prescription/referral massage is not allowed. Now, Jan 9th the government is to announce new restrictions or lift restrictions, or maybe announce nothing...who knows. There are three scenarios that I can determine: 1. If restrictions for massage are lifted, the prescription/referral will not be needed. We are set to fully reopen on the 14th if this is the case. We have already rebooked many of you from Dec to the 14th onwards. 2.If restrictions are kept in place and massage is still on exception with the prescription/referral stipulation, we will still need the prescription/referral...like we are doing right now. 3.If restrictions are in place, and massage exception is revoked....we are closed until further notice. To sum it up: Get a prescription from your doctor or a referral from your alternate health care provider ( Regulated health professions and colleges | Alberta.ca ). This will ensure that you can receive massage treatment no matter what the Jan 9th announcement is. Book online at inhalexhale.life Text or email a copy of the prescription/referral prior to your appointment. Text: 403-988-8425 Email : [email protected] That is where we are at. If you have question, please text me. You can call, but I have three kids at home, so if you are up for the guaranteed yelling in the background, go for it. I know that we all look forward to seeing you on the other side of this restriction. Welcome to 2021! Janine

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and all the snow that has blanketed us in. I want to touch a bit on the announcement yesterday in regards to massage reopening.... What this means is that it is a limited reopening. We do not get to just open up as we did in the spring. In order to receive a massage we must receive a doctors prescription or a chiropractor/physio/acupuncture/dentist/midwife referral prior to your appointment. Without these documents, massage is not permitted. An existing prescription/referral is only valid if issued within the last 12 months. Masks are still mandatory as is the covid prescreen. Online booking will continue to be disabled until further notice. We will be booking starting January 4th, 2021. In order to book, please just text us. We will ask that you send a photo of your letter before we will book your appointment. Once we receive that confirmation, you will be booked in. Please bring your prescription/referral with you, as we will upload it into your file. I wish you all the happiest of the holiday season and a warm welcome of 2021!

I am sure by now you are aware of the new restrictions being put into place as of Sunday. Yes, we are closed as of the last massage at 430 pm Saturday, until further notice. I know that 4 weeks was mentioned as a closure length but, learning from the Spring, it most likely will be longer. What this means for you:... If you have an appointment booked in the next four days, they are a go! Amanda has opened her schedule up on Saturday to allow for more bookings. If you are going to cancel, please let us know asap as we have a growing list of folks wanting to get in. Online booking will be disabled as of Saturday, or sooner if we fill. Bookings over the next month will be canceled. Any prepaid appointments will be transferred to an account credit to be used when we reopen. Please be patient, this will be done over days because... it is Christmas and I am going to spend this time cuddled up with my family counting my blessings, and baking cookies!!! I will get it done though, I promise! Knowing me by Sunday 6am :) Much like the Spring, I will send out emails keeping you posted as to what is happening and when we will be taking bookings again. Virtual appointments are in discussion right now. I will keep you posted. Please continue to support small, local businesses. For me, the most motivating, inspiring , heart filling action is knowing that we are making a difference. Right now, little places like the clinic need to know that we matter. I never once thought I would have to guide us through anything of this magnitude, or endure negativity at such a level that I felt like giving up. So, go give those small businesses love, support and cheer them on by liking their social media pages, referrals, or boxes of chocolate:) With that said, I cannot thank you all enough for coming to the clinic and trusting us with your health and wellness. Some of you I have treated for 15 plus years, some I have never met. However, I cannot say thank you enough, YOU are what keeps me going , you inspire, you motivate. We will see you on the flip side! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Enjoy your family time, eat chocolate, cookies, bake, decorate and marvel in the moment. Thank you, Thank You, Thank you! Janine Jodi, Paula, Cheryl, Amanda, Angela, Markus You can also check out our Facebook page or Instagram page to keep on the up and up. If you are new to the clinic, our origin story is golden and can be found posted during the last lockdown:)

This ....second time a sticker on my business door in @mardaloopyyc . Everyone has a right to their views but, stop vandilizing my business. It has been hard enough getting through all of this. If you want to come and talk to me about your views on masks, come talk to me, make an appointment, I will hear you out. Keep in mind I have a right to run my business , feed my family and be safe. Oh, I also have to comply with my association protocols and city protocols to be open.

That is just our face cradle cover bin, I had no "cool" pictures!! It has been just shy of a month since our reopening! What?!?! It has been a wonderful month, treating patients and catching up on the last three months...or more! We are a fortunate clinic in that we have amazing patients that continue to support us and really appreciate their massages. Thank you!!!!... I have to say, that I have really loved welcoming you all back and reconnecting. Also, I had no idea, or lost sight of the fact of how important massage is to so many. I can speak for all of us at the clinic when I say how grateful we are that we can be of service. I do have some fantastic news to share with you! Angela welcomed her beautiful baby, Emma, on June 27th. She is sweet, adorable and keeping Angela and her partner completely sleep deprived. They are all doing well, adjusting to their new family unit and sharing in the joy of the sweet moments with Emma. If you wish to send Angela a message, just email it over and I will send it directly to her. If you have been in for a massage, you probably have noticed that we are working on the other end of the hallway. The big room is now a one on one yoga and mediation room. Stay tuned for meditation classes coming soon. Geri has joined our clinic offering, mindful meditation massage, mindful movement sessions and even a combo of the two. You can choose from 30 min, 45 in or 60 min classes for mindful movement. You can book these sessions online with Geri on Tuesdays and Thursday 10am-2pm. The plant room is now being used by Dr. Kim Dunlop who is offering acupuncture. Kim can be reached at 403-990-7872 to book in. You can check out her webpage at www.kimdunlop.com. She will be in clinic Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays for treatments. I am so excited to have Kim join us...I love acupuncture!!! Finally, I am sad to say that although we have been very fortunate thus far, other businesses have not. DooDads just below us, is closing. They are pivoting to an online store. It is concerning and sobering to see a long standing Marda Loop business close. If you can, go show them some love and support. We are wishing them much success in their new endeavor. That's it! We are enjoying being back at work, maybe not all the laundry, but seeing you, our patients, listening to your stories and being able to guide you toward balance, wellness and health is what we all love to do! Thank you for your support, and presence, Janine, Cheryl, Jodi, Angela and Emma ???? Did i finish the origin story???

Inhale Exhale Massage Therapy 07.09.2020

We are looking forward to welcoming you back into the clinic and onto our treatment tables in the near future! As we reopen, there are new procedures that have been put into place to follow the Government of Alberta guidelines to reopen, as well as those put out by our massage associations. For you, they should cause very little stress or inconvenience. On the other hand, for us, if these procedures are not followed, we get stressed. Please be gentle, patient and kind with us.... As we adjust mentally and physically ( three months off is a long time to not give a massage!), things will become smoother. When you arrive at the clinic, please just wait outside or in your car. We will text/call you when we are ready. Do not come up. The waiting room will be locked, as will the bathroom. When we greet you in the hall, we will ask you to step into the bathroom and wash your hands with soap and water. Even if you just sanitized we will ask you to wash your hands. FYI-The bathroom is not for public use right now, just handwashing. As you lather your hands, we will conduct another Covid-19 prescreening. Yes, this is mandatory, even if you filled out the one we emailed you. If you do not have a procedural mask, we will give one to you. Please put on before entering the clinic. Masks are required at this time. Then we will enter directly into the treatment room. The massage magic will happen as usual...you just need to wear your mask and enjoy your massage. Post massage, we will wash our hands in the treatment room before leaving. You will be invited to do the same. Once you are dressed, we will meet you back in the treatment room to discuss stretches, reschedule and submit insurance. After that you are free to blissfully float home in your massage fog. Please keep in mind, although we have missed you and want to catch up, we just do not have the time between clients to chat. We need to clean, do laundry and breath! We appreciate each and everyone of you. If you have reached out during our shutdown to check in, sent jokes and funny memes, helped us to source and alter our PPE to fit our shorter stature, booked in, referred people to us, or kept up with our email story...we graciously thank you. As we reopen, know that we are here for you, offering wonderful massages and lots of smiles! Here's to our Saturday Re-opening! Send us good vibes! Janine, Cheryl, Jody and Angela( 7 days and counting!)
