What an Awesome God We Serve! Well, it's been quite the year for In His Footprints Ministries! God sure did change our plans for 2020 with the rise of Covid, but we are grateful for His provisions.... Due to strict restrictions in Belize, we could not offer our trade skills programs thus not allowing us to select additional high school sponsorship students. Instead our students brought emergency food relief to the most vulnerable in the village; we successfully drilled two wells on the base; and planted our Loforna base with an abundance of vegetables and fruit trees increasing self-sustainability. Gardens and chicken raising were also begun at the students' homes. An internet educational hub is also being set up in the village giving our students a gathering place to do online learning. They were all very challenged with the unaffordable cost of internet and lack of laptops. This is a wonderful solution that our ministry leaders came up with to make it possible. We are in the midst of our year-end fundraising drive. If you can support us with a financial gift, that would be wonderful. Specific information is found in our IHF Annual Report - 2020 and Continuing the Journey brochures are attached. What we covet most is your prayers that God's plan for IHF would be clear, and that we would follow it by increased faith in Him alone. May you all be blessed through Him alone!

Up from the Ground! In April 2020, at the height of the Covid 19 pandemic, many of our people in the village of Armenia, Belize suffered greatly due to job lose and the little income they provided. Phase One of our IHF response was to address immediate needs by providing emergency food relief to our students’ families as well as those in need surrounding them. However, even though it was an amazing experience for our students to deliver these love offerings, food goes quickly... and the shortages remain. Phase Two is all about creating local food security. Over the past four months, on our Loforna base as well as at our students’ homes in the village, vegetable gardens are cultivated, fruit trees planted and cute chicks raised for meat and eggs. As you see in this video, with their new found love for doing this, they are all so eager to share their impressive results The pandemic has clearly shown the need for regaining local food security by reclaiming ancestral and traditional ways of ensuring it as they have for hundreds of years. Tragically, like us, they too have become dependent on processed foods bought with great expense in local grocery stores. If you wish to find out more about In His Footprints Ministries: www.footprintsbelize.org [email protected]. Please enjoy the video and thanks for watching it.

Deep Water From the Rock Below! A truly miraculous event happened on our Loforna base last Thursday. After seven years of hauling water from a nearby river during ever increasing dry seasons, God brought forth water from the rock below our base. We declare this to be a miracle for the following reasons: ... Three previous attempts by locals to dig wells up to 20 to 30 feet have come up dry. An oil exploration company found no water after doing systemic testing in the surrounding jungle. Hydrological maps showed that subterranean water is lacking throughout the area we are located in. Armenia rations and even runs out of water during the dry season. It is the main complaint by villagers. What is even more amazing is that two twitchers, who came at separate times and did not know each other, walked the entire 17 areas of land and found no water except right behind the main building at a depth of 90 feet more or less. Since twitching can be a hit or miss, it took a lot of time to decide to take the chance on costly drilling or just keep hauling water from the river. Having recently witnessed the generous outpouring of donations for Phase One of the Covid Emergency Fund, we prayed the same prayer, God, IHF belongs to you to do with as you please. If You decide to bless us with water, we will be so thankful. If not, let us not be discouraged, but release the situation back to Your will being done in your time and way. Two holes were drilled. After boring down 40 feet through very hard rock, we hit clean, cold, abundant water. Since we paid for 90 feet, a second drill went down to 60 feet and again brought up clean, cold, abundant water. Can you believe it? Not only did He bless us with one well, but two right behind the building! What an assurance of His providence as He would not only grant us good soil, but also water to continue our Covid awareness of increasing local food self-sustainability. With tears of joy in our eyes, we thank all of you who faithfully support this ministry with your financial support, but more importantly...your prayers.

Everything We To Need Live On! Even though Covid 19 has shaken the globe with fear and grief, it has also raised awareness of localism and food sourcing. In Belize, Mayans are proudly reawakening to the richness of their ancestral ways that have allowed them to survive well within their ecosystems without buying at grocery stores. Reclaiming them is creating a new a...ppreciation for earth, planting and harvesting, and healthy gleanings from the surrounding jungles. It has also renewed a passion for their narratives, music, and other cultural highlights. In His Footprints is pleased to be part of this in fulfilling its mandate of a ministry run by Belizeans to bless Belizeans youth.

The following video is my best attempt in formatting the pictures and videos that I have received from our ministry leaders in Belize. I am using a new program called Olive, and this is my first attempt. In spite of needed volume adjustments (during the prayer) and music double dubbing (towards the end), it captures the precious and amazing time our high school students in Belize had packaging and delivering the generous love offerings that our supporters made possible. Trus...t me, it touched them so deeply, that they will never forget doing this for the rest of their lives. Responding to the immediate need is what Phase One was all about. Since food disappears quickly, Phase Two is centered on long term support by buying chicks to raise to maturity, and by planting a variety of indigenous crops on the base (fruit, vegetables, medicinal, seasoning, etc.).This would serve as a community garden that our students will maintain. What is presently lacking right now is rain. Once again, Belize is experiencing a major drought with water running short particularly in our village. Please pray for rain! Thank you to all of you who supported our efforts through your prayers, encouragements and financial support. God has used you all to make beautiful things blossom for His glory. Only if you can and if God moves you to do so, please send your financial gifts using Canada Helps (www.canadahelps.org In His Footprints Ministries) Blessings! IHF

An Emotional Affair of Unconditional Love! Well, here they are fresh from Belizepictures of an amazing happening in Armenia village that will be remembered for a lifetime. As a result of an overwhelming outpouring of your love, our high school students were able to bless their families as well as others in great need with their comfort and your food. In the midst of global fear and uncertainty, there is no better expression of His love than reaching out to those that are alo...ne or forgotten. In our village it is even more needed since this is no work or government aid. Thank you again for making all of this possible. My regret is that you were not able to be there with these young people that have become so near and dear to our hearts. Since this is a fluid situation with no end in sight, our invitation to all is to jump on board and keep this going. Please send your donations through Canada Helps (In His Footprints Ministries) (www.canadahelps.org). And as our Belizean pastor Frankie proclaimed upon hearing about your love offering, May He return His favour upon you tenfold plus more!
