Our friends at Saskatchewan in motion have a number of pieces to help with active modes to school. This Walking Buddy Flyer is one and for more see their "Let Them Walk" toolkit that has a variety of pieces for schools to use to encourage students coming/leaving school by muscle power http://www.saskatchewaninmotion.ca/po/let-them-walk-toolkit

The world is a better place because of you Cathy. Many individuals, groups, organizations and causes knew Cathy because she got behind what she loved and believed in. Cathy believed all should have a place in a community and to be supported to live a healthy life. She was a champion of health (she was a fantastic public health practitioner even though she wasn't employed as one!), a champion of all ages and abilities being able to thrive, a champion of cycling, as well as ot...her forms of active transportation, and a champion for trails, environment and so much more. Cathy has described herself as a "happy agitator". What a wonderful description and we couldn't agree more. She stood and spoke for the topic with passion, an evidence-informed viewpoint, and always with respect for the other party regardless of their stand on the issue. She was an advocator like no other we have met and it was an honour to work alongside her for many years. Thank you Cathy for all that you have done, our community will miss you deeply and dearly. And thank you to Trent, and all the Watts family, for sharing Cathy with us in life and in her passing.
