HOW TO HELP YOUR DAUGHTER WITH DEPRESSION There was a time when my oldest daughter had chronic depression and wanted to kill herself. I know that because of the global crisis, mental illness have increased in many youth. I have more parents asking me to help them with their kids.... We need to find professional help but we also need to embrace the power we have as mothers and children of God to help each other. As a mother, I want to tell you that there is hope and that God has a Plan for your son / daughter. Trust God, trust your power as a daughter of God, and trust your son or daughter. Remember that Faith is dead without works. My daughter had chronic depression but she overcame it. After that, she went on a mission, was a seminar teacher, president of the YSA relief society, and now she is very successful. Success is being able to live the life in your own terms, being happy ad help others. Never lose faith, never get tired of acting strategically to help your family. In this video I show you the strategies of Faith you need in these cases. I have compiled all the tools that helped me at that time to help my daughter as a MOM and not as a COACH to overcome her depression. They are based on God's unconditional love for us. These tools are the works of Faith we need to help our children heal their emotional wounds. Take note of these simple tips to help moms, family, and friends of someone with depression. Happy Thanksgiving my dear friends! Many years ago, I heard a sister gave her testimony saying she was grateful for all her trials. I was surprised to hear that and I did not understand this very well as I was going through a lot of trials at that time. Many, many years after, I can say that I am thankful for all the dark days I had because I was able to learn how to get out of the dark and now I am able to help others do the same. ... Gratitude is a divine practice and has the ability to alter the neurons in our brain, so we can perceive different and feel different. This thanksgiving I am deeply grateful for: 1.- The atonement of Jesus Christ, otherwise, I would not have a chance to repent from my imperfections and live with my Heavenly Father again. 2.- I am grateful for the knowledge and certainty I have of a loving Father who unconditionally love us NOT IN SPITE OF our imperfections but BECAUSE OF our imperfections. The more I love and accept myself and others, the more connected I am to HIM. 3.- My dear daughters, that we stand solid and united in spite of our differences and distance. 4.- For my husband, Bella and Theo my loving dog 5.- For the beautiful seasons that Heavenly Father has made for us to enjoy. Autumn is the season of the Harvest, and represents the seasons in our lives where we harvest the fruits of our hard work and see the results for the sacrifices we have made. In Autumn, we enjoy and prepare for the winters in our lives. 6.- For the amazing talents and gifts of the children of God, how we have benefited and learned so much as in a Sunday school class, in an inspired written book, in a podcast, in a Bishop's or friend advice, for our education. I am grateful we can use all of this to inspire and help others. 7.- I am so grateful my missionary is coming home this month!! I can't stop smiling every day! OUR WORDS HAVE POWER Matthew 15:11 "Not that which goeth into the mouth adefileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man."... There is great power in our words. Sometimes we are very negative with ourselves and this has an impact in our happiness and success. We speak badly about ourselves and because of that, sometimes, we speak bad about others. God's words have power. We are his children and our words have power too. If you say you are not capable, it will be so. If you say you can, it will be so. You will always be right, because what you believe and say about yourself, that will be. God wants us to be kind to ourselves and be successful. The most successful people, love themselves, take care of their language and inner dialogue. Remember that the greatest commandment that God has given us is to LOVE. Love God, ourselves and others. Sometimes we are hard on ourselves with our words. We must treat ourselves with kindness.
