Project info Institutional Multi-use building Building Use Offices (level 3&4) /Gym (level 5) /Aquarium(below grade) /Food-court(level 1) /Restaurants(level 1) /Roof top Garden and Running track/ African art gallery(level 2)... Construction -Envelope: 70% of North, East and South facade consists of Photovoltaic Panels and 30% a combination of translucent and clear glass. West Facade is pre-insulated concrete panels and regular punch windows -5 underground Parking levels and aquarium with 10 above grade floors. Once in a while we like doing proposals to illustrate the potential of some of the locations we have in Malawi,especially our nations capital and how they can be developed. This is just one of those projects, it took a lot of time to develop but we finally got there. This solution proposed a separation of the M1 road traffic creating fluidity for both pedestrian and vehicular movement. The building is fully accessible to people with disabilities; inside by using escalators and elevators and on the outside by use of the massive ramp up to the main African art gallery on the 2ndfloor. The ground floor is a circulation/transition floor with separate lobby for the offices. The building is designed to be open to the public without impeding office workers as they would access the building facilities differently. Enjoy our work, share, comment, ask questions. Beyond Living
