Hi Everyone! It's Kai here :) Happy New Year to you all and hope that 2020 is treating you well so far :) Discovery & Reflection: After taking a a bit of a breather from organizing and hosting, I've discovered a potentially better way to engage and offer more meaningful engagement and experiences via a flexible platform where we can meet virtually as well as still having in person gatherings once in a while. While I find FB more engaging for personal connection, I found it d...istracting the last year or two, and having been looking at moving away from FB overall. Also I'm changing the focus 'word' to be about how might we "THRIVE" in all that we do, instead of 'innovate', as I want our experience to be more holistic. Was just updating the community website and reflected on my gratitude for all the contributors and sponsors over the years who helped to foster this community. Whether big or small, it's definitely a special one as we worked to Engage, Inspire, and Empower everyone who participated in our community of Design Thinkers. We heard from members of the impact and difference we were able to make, by building a meetup-esque community that valued equality and open dialogue within a se...a of one sided talks and presentations. A big thank you to those of you who started off as community members then stepping up to contribute your time, ideas, and collaboration in building and supporting something meaningful and impactful. Innov8 Collective began in 2014, it has had it's ebb and flow, and with new contributors stepping in, I truly hope that with the collaboration efforts, that we can begin to host more events and workshops once again.
