Inside Geotab

#Geotabber Shanna is originally from Venezuela and previously lived in Peru before deciding to move to Las Vegas in 2017. Living in a different country has allowed her to learn about other cultures, meet incredible people and grow significantly both personally and professionally. She wanted to work for Geotab because she knew they invested in their company culture, including creating a Diversity & Inclusion committee. She feels this is important because this committee helps recognize what makes our #Geotabbers unique. "Celebrating diversity means embracing our different backgrounds, cultures, ideas and beliefs, and leveraging them as part of our identity. When we get to connect and share our experiences with others, we build and add to our understanding of different perspectives." #CelebrateDiversityMonth

Last month, a few of our #Geotabbers helped mentor students and judge the Tech Under Twenty Cup competition! This is a two day competition that challenges teams of students to use technology to create a solution that helps build more resilient communities. #tu20

April is #CelebrateDiversityMonth! Geotab is proud to embrace our #Geotabbers' unique differences, talents and experiences because we know that makes our company and communities stronger. We will be celebrating throughout April by highlighting a few of our Geotabbers #Geotabber George helps lead our Black People in STEM resource group because he understands the importance of recognizing others' differences and how that can be positively utilized in the tech industry. "I want to use my platform and voice to guide or mentor those who are interested in a career in the STEM field. I love having the ability to share my personal experiences with people that feel they never had a chance to get into tech." #BlackinTech
