I got kicked out of the mental. It’s true! As much as I liked it there compared to the pen, I just could not keep out of trouble for long, and soon was sent back to the pen with new break & enter, theft and assault charges against me. It all happened out of the blue: There was an office with a locked door, and I thought I could get through it. [ 1,713 more word ] https://barry.veinotte.ca/kicked-out-of-the-mental/

Nightmares should wait until you are in bed, sleeping. But sometimes they just can’t wait. Those are dark nights.

So, in an effort to clean up my personal FaceBook account, I have separated Inside Out and Maniacal Writings so that they have their own FB and Twitter accounts. Basically, I am making a huge convoluted mess that I really don't need, but oh well. At least I won't have to bother folks by posting things to my personal page that should not be there. So, hit up https://barryveinotte.com for the appropriate social media account, and FOLLOW!

Wanna get caught up on work so I can take some time off and write... If only we didn't need to sleep. I can't really read the posts anymore because it makes me want to go back and rewrite them. https://barry.veinotte.ca

"The right way to do an Autobiography" is to "start at no particular time of your life; wander at your free will all over your life; talk only about the thing which interests you for the moment; drop it the moment its interest threatens to pale, and turn your talk upon the new and more interesting thing that has intruded itself into your mind meantime." ~ Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens) Kinda the way I wanted to write this story; lose the guidelines and structure and just wr...ite the bouncing thoughts and memories in my head. Now my interest has faded because I find myself falling into the trap of chronological order. While in said trap, I dislike each line, each word, and find it harder and harder to get back to the story. Note to self: Break out of the timeline and just write.
