Shavuot is less than 3 weeks away and because of the pandemic, we are not hiring our seasonal staff just yet (one of my children and I are both considered at higher risk, and I have no way of reasonably ensuring that people outside my family have not been exposed to the virus). What this means is that there are no additional staff to serve customers this year (and it's been pretty busy - after all ice cream has a way of cheering people up). So I will have to juggle preparing ...Shavuot ice cream cakes while serving customers. So if you are planning on ordering a cake this year, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can start working on it. Remember, it won't lose freshness if it's made in advance - it's ice cream and can keep for months in a good freezer. We also ask that if you are able, to please wear a mask when entering the store to pick up your order (it's always best to call in the order ahead of time). During this time, The Inside Scoop is going to be offering free delivery in the GTA, just south of Eglinton to Thornhill (to Centre Street). Minimum order is $30. There will be 2 deliveries south of Sheppard, one between 3 and 4:30pm (orders must be received by 1:30pm) and one between 7:30 and 9pm (orders must be received by 6pm). Thornhill deliveries will be between 5 and 7pm (orders must be received by 3:30pm). Payment is either by credit card when you place your order or cash at the door (please have as close to exact change as possible and no $50 or $100 bills). We’ll figure out flavours when you place your order by calling (416) 768-6225.

UPDATE: The Inside Scoop is open for business. As per Toronto Public Health, eating in the store is no longer permitted. You can phone orders in to us for pick-up at (416) 768-6225 or order through UberEats which has temporarily eliminated delivery charges. We normally don’t offer single soft serve or scooped servings on Uber (the delivery fee is oftentimes more than a single serving!), but will be updating the platform in the next couple of days to enable this. #pickup #delivery #icecream
