Covid has many people focusing on the negative. It can makes us focus on all we do not have rather than what we do have. This is a great article on expressing appreciation in our relationships. Please consider taking a moment to sign this petition to the Federal minister of health. The rule is that once there are 5 regulatory colleges across Canada that there should be a GST exemption for counselling therapy or psychotherapy. But this had not happened. Please click on the link and add your voice to lower the cost of counselling by the federal government not forcing GST on those reaching out for support and help.
We can easily look at our partner as being the one at fault for the problems in our relationship. However, jumping ship for a different partner is not always the answer. New research confirms that we will repeat patterns with a new partner and thus not be farther ahead. There of course are expections. Leaving an abusive relationship can many times be the only way to stop or limit the abuse. But assuming you are in a non-abusive relationship, finding a new partner is not the solution.
