Dear Legacy community, After evaluating the situation with Public Health and adhering to their recommendations, we are excited to announce that we are officially reopening Legacy Restaurant on December 27th, 2020. The Insignia Hotel remains open as the COVID 19 cases were limited to the kitchen in the Legacy restaurant area only. ... All restaurant employees who were potentially exposed have been tested and with the exception of the 2 confirmed cases, all other employees’ tests have come back negative. Our number one priority is keeping our guests and team members safe, so we would like to remind everyone to continue following government guidelines when you visit Legacy, such as wearing a mask when not seated. We ensure that we use proper social distancing of at least 2m in the restaurant or plexiglass between tables for your safety. We want to thank everyone for their support on our last post about temporary closure of Legacy and Regners due to Covid-19. To our Legacy and Regner's community, Despite adhering to all COVID 19 safety precautions in our restaurant, 2 of our employees have tested positive for COVID 19. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our restaurant Legacy and Regners Lounge for an undetermined period of time. We are communicating with Lambton Public Health including their Covid-19 response team to seek guidance on a continuing basis.... Amazing Restaurant with 10/10 service, the flowers surrounding the upper patio are stunning and make you feel like you’re on vacation, the cheesecake was to die for. Love the wine selection and Stonepicker beer. Salmon was delicious as well. Will be going back!

Sarnia's best kept secret patio, the "Moat" located on the lower level of the Insignia hotel. This patio offers customers a lot of room to enjoy a safe dining experience. We have over 1500 sq ft of space, as well seating out of the sun under our new awnings. The Moat offers the same great dining experience as our main level patio, and a little more privacy.
