In-Situ was able to achieve a 80 RMS surface finish with a single point tool to insure a proper seal for the 75,000LBS lid. The Agruim chigwell site is a collection and distribution centre. The enormous tank you see in this photo is referred to as the sphere. There is a 35 diameter manhole right at the bottom of the sphere. Considering the storage capacity of this tank a hole right at the bottom needs to seal perfectly.
