‘It’s never so bad, it couldn’t be worse’ I’ve heard those words on repeat in my head for the last year especially. Wondering what Dad would say if he was here.. what he would do.... Grieving is a never ending process. It’s an up and down roller coaster ride, it’s good days and bad days, it’s anxiety and fear, yet peace and love. It’s hard on the day to day, but even more hard, during the holidays. In a world where negativity is more pronounced than ever and our day to day looks a whole lot different, be K I N D. Create new memories, start new traditions, hug the ones you can and be thankful for technology and our ability to still communicate. Cherish the small moments and even smaller things. Count your blessings and don’t be fooled by ones smile, the average person is struggling in some way, shape or form. For all those grieving a special someone on the day to day, and even more this time of year; hang in there. It’s never easy and I don’t believe in ‘time heals everything’; but i do believe we can ALWAYS find a positive. Merry Christmas from our family to yours .

Today we are extra T. H. A. N. K. F. U. L Our 3rd annual Murray’s Miles was an absolute success, virtual & all! We can not thank each of you enough for your generosity, creative participation & reminding us we are not alone .... White We were able to BEAT our goal this year in fundraising efforts, all well raising awareness and connecting with others impacted by or currently battling this awful disease. This past week has been nothing short of amazing We could not have asked for a better success for our first virtual event, especially during these trying times. DEAR DAD: Even though you are not here, Your memory grows stronger with every passing year. ... Our hearts ache to see your smile, & at times we catch ourselves still waiting for your truck to come down the nearest mile. We strive to make you proud each and every day. But the truth is, some days, we can barely find our way. The advice you use to give us, The worlds problems we use to discuss. It all Seems so far away, 3 years to this day. Although our hearts are heavy, we know you’re in a better place. A place without that demon, they just couldn’t seem to trace. The beans looked good this year, I don’t think many farmers shed a tear. And Your grass remains rather green, & cut pretty darn perfect by your queen. Our time together went by so fast, We would have done anything to make it last. Some nights we cry before we sleep, Wishing you were beside us, forever here to keep. The years don’t make it easier, they said the pain would go. It seems we’ve gotten better not letting our feelings show. Tonight we gather together, all To remember you. Each of us thinking, how fast are time together flew. I was recently asked what sparked my enthusiasm to raise awareness for esophageal cancer & the truth is, there is no ‘I’, this fight is OURS. OUR family. OUR friends. OUR community.... OUR fight.
