For Inspections of larger diameter pipes, 6" and larger, your best option is typically going to be a Pan and Tilt Camera unit. These cameras heads are 2 - 3" in diameter with the ability to look around in a 360 degree circle, as well as side to side. For larger areas, a few feet across this gives you much better live video capture than a smaller straight view push camera unit. Take a look at a couple of Videos captured with out Anaconda Pan and Tilt push camera. These units h...ave a 2" Camera head and built in LED lights. If you wanted something with more image resolution and a better interface, we also sell a Gecko Pan and Tilt, and a Trogloprobe, both with larger camera heads that are higher resolution with manual focus settings. If you have any questions about these units, or would like a brochure or more files to review, please contact us, we would be happy to assist you.

Clients sometimes are confused about the difference between our IRIS 5 Videoscopes and our IRIS DVRx units. These units have the exact same 5" monitors and features like zoom, text to label files, comparative measurement, and a rechargeable battery for portable use, but the difference comes down to the video camera chip in the head of the probe, and the lens infront of it. The IRIS 5 will have a Sony HAD CCD camera chip in the camera head, which will be a high resolution uni...t, with removable objective lenses for different fields of view, and focal ranges. These lenses can be adjusted to manually focus these videoscopes too. The IRIS DVRx units have a CMOS camera chip in the tip of the video probe, with a set focal range and auto-focus. This makes the units a bit shorter so the tip bend radius is smaller or tighter, but there are no adjustments you can do to the image. This also makes the price of these videoscopes quite a bit lower in comparison. Take a look at the images below, and please contact us if you have questions, or want to find out about the prices.

People sometimes ask what the difference between 2 products is when one camera head is 1.4" in diameter and the other is 1.6" in diameter. The difference between these can be much more than 0.2". Take a look at our Gecko Push cameras for instance. The 1.4" diameter has a smaller push cable, and a much more flexible spring section behind the camera head. This makes it small and easy to bend around corners etc. The 1.6" unit has a thicker push cable, a heavier spring section ...and a metal strain relief behind the camera chip. This makes the unit larger, harder and not easy to bend around small tight corners. Take a look at the pictures below, and never be afraid to contact one of our sales people to answer these questions for you!

**NEW PRODUCT ALERT** Medit is now selling the Trogloprobe Pro, Pan and tilt camera unit. These units are heavy duty pan and tilt push cameras, with lengths from 61 - 85 meters, a 2.4" diameter camera head, 5.6" color LCD screen, reel with a DVR box to capture images and video to a compactflash memory card, manual focus and digital defect measurement. The best feature of this unit is that the camera head and probe are actually waterproof to 11 bars (365 ft. of water pressure)..., while the reel, and DVR box, and keyboard are all watertight to IP67 as well. This mean you can use the dvr box keyboard etc, in water up to 3 feet, for up to 30 minutes, so wet locations, rain, areas with splash back, etc. Take a look at these units online, or contact someone in our sales department for more information. http://www.fiberscope.net/pipe-inspection-camera-trogloprob
