ALERT: I have no idea why, and tech support can't figure it out either ... if you have products in my shopping cart that require they be shipped, but feel the shipping is way out of line, you DO have choices. You can click the "Pick up in store" option ... this will alert me to check the actual real cost at the post office and let you know. I can bill you separately when you confirm. Option 2, if the shipping is just a little high, I will reimburse you the difference without you having to say a word.

Hold tight everyone ... As some of you may know, I have been looking for a place to rent since April. Time is no longer on my side and my entire house has to be... packed an put into storage this weekend :( Still trying to find a truck and bodies to help move furniture. No luck finding a place to rent, so I have no choice at this moment. I'm sorry I haven't been able to be online for the last little bit ... desperately trying to work full time and find a place to land. I will NOT be available to answer questions or take orders from today until I will be back in about a week, once I get to the other side of Canada (Alberta) and will pick up where I left off. Once I land, I will pick up PM's and get back to making it all happen. Mail will resume from Alberta. <3 STAY SAFE & SEE YOU ON THE FLIP SIDE.

How's your weekend? Overcast, with an autumn chill in the air for me ... perfect for digging out 8 sections from a 12 panel window. Amazing they didn't pop out with the 80 bow! Each of these panes are literally held in with dried solid putty. Whoever previously repaired this one ( and 3 others) cut the glass almost exactly to size and back filled the putty to hold it in. Some with putty, some with glass cement, and several more with Mastik.

The newest batch of stained glass paws will surely be the delight of their fur-baby owners really soon. Of all the paws I have done over the years, and I do mean literally hundreds of them, I love the color combinations that get requested that I hadnt even considered the most. <3 Think birthdays, holiday events, an extra add on to any gift wrapping, car mirror hangers ... so many ways to make these delightful sun-catchers work in everyones daily life.

Its been lovely watching the firemen beyond my kitchen window. We watch them mop floors, polish trucks, and play basketball. Now, with my new star, the cat with chaser rainbows in the morning sunlight, and we dont have to watch the traffic that so cruelly blocks our firemen fetush ... Ermmm ... I mean view!

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT: Some will, some wont ... I respectfully decline. Yes, I know how adorable a lot of the Disney characters are, but Im terribly sorry to have to decline the dozen or so times a week Im requested to either draw or create them in stained glass. You see, its not that I dont want your business & its definitely not that I dont need your business ... its purely due to the fact that just one single engagement of this nature can cost me literally everyt...hing. :( As for myself, as an artist, I wholeheartedly understand what if feels like to have something I have worked to create and then found "stolen" because someone didnt want to pay $25 for the pattern. Some patterns can be drawn up in just a few hours ... others take me weeks, and several back and forth communications with the client. Yup, I know, I can feel the eye rolling; however, its the same as someone working for a day and then finding out that pay goes in someone elses pocket ... because they feel its okay or you wont miss it. A few years ago, someone contacted me to tell me that they felt I "stole" their design ... sometimes its just a matter of two people had the same idea. After all, there are only so many ways you can draw a heart, but this was about a pattern of a dog. Subject matter aside, she had posted her design first, so I took mine down ... mine was literally a photo of a clients dog that really did closely resemble the pattern the other lady had drawn. Even the framing of it was the same. Doesnt matter, it was too close to hers, and we communicated nicely about it. I choose to not argue. <3

19 January 2020 ... lets get back to basics with foiling. A great place for newbies to start ... and a reminder for some of us "seasoners" ;-)

Lori recently reached out with a few inquiries. We chatted, and she let me know she was interested in learning but more about glass. Today she came to start lessons, having already gotten the basics down with instruction from her Dad. After a few attempts of learning basic cuts, and the tricks to get them out easier, we set out to repair the project that she had brought with her. Her own dog, the pattern she had drawn, and the third project she had completed with previous in...struction... low and behold, it had a stress crack. If you look at the pictures, she followed my lead and cut out the damaged area, removed the foil that was left behind, matched the glass and made a new template. It wasnt long before we went to work learning soldering techniques. Proudly showing the finished project, she left after day 1 with a huge smile on her face. Well done Lori, a stellar job and a quick study.

Thank you for all the <3 given for the newest set of whirls, and so many comments! For those very few who say they wouldnt have the patience, dont worry, its not hard ... nor is it a race. :) Come on in and see how easy these are going to be for you, heck, I designed them that way.

Watch as I draw, and deconstruct the pattern, to make it workable in glass.

So exciting to see a completed vision! Loving the movement in this one, and super excited to finish it. Its awesome as a whirl, but equally wonderful for a table top decoration in a smaller space. Watch for the pattern, and the options, coming soon!

After having just moved my studio for the second time in a month, and for the fifth time in 18 months, I find myself rounding the corner to finishing the only Christmas order that I have received this year. With no time to take, a trip to Toronto to see the Christmas lights was something both my daughter and I were looking forward to. There were not many lights to be seen, although the historical landmarks and the big malls were lit up with thousands of magic twinkles but, i...t was a beautiful night to walk in the heart of Toronto. Probably the best part was a surprise visit to the Old Spaghetti Factory, which is a place I loved very much but havent been to since I was preteen. I dont remember the decor from way back then, but stepping inside the doors, and navigating the many twists and turns to our table... In the heart of a merry-go-round... I was Spellbound by the hundreds of stained glass panels within those walls. People often ask me what made me attracted to Stained Glass, and now I can say it was all my parents fault! :) I did see many panels that had breaks in them, and can only imagine what an honour it would be to be allowed to fix them.
