This week we will be doing G Major! Which means when we improvise we can use all of the white keys except for F. The key of G Major has an F sharp so instead of F we play F sharp! Here’s the demo video for those who haven’t yet watched from last week (C Major)

What is in your child’s practice kit? Last week each child took home a practice kit that was designed to keep your child’s practice time fun and engaging. Inside are practice play cards- these cards help get their songs completed properly but in the most efficient way they can. The emoji mood cards are for trying to express these moods while practicing songs. Practice kits are also for including at home games! This week a few kids who are working on stepping and skipping are bringing home Leap Pad Pond!

In honour of Remembrance Day a few students were given an Oh Canada project. Students were asked: What does being Canadian mean to you?. They then used their answers to create a version of Oh Canada with their own personalities added in. Over the next week I will be posting each of their performances! Join our studio as we honour our Canadian hero’s who courageously gave their lives. Thank you to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country to be free.
