Over the last 4 years I’ve hosted events of 500 people, attended many events, workshops, panels, and led teams of over 150 people internationally. - - Inclusion has always been a priority to me as most of my life I have felt like.the oddball. In childhood I went to a predominantly White school and I was often called WEIRD when I was really young. I’m unsure if it was ever referring to my Blackness but I was weird because my experiences were different and I expressed m...yself differently than most of my White friends overall I was just different. The word WEIRD has stuck with me my whole life, I remember crying that day coming home from school. Now I embrace it. I am 100% weird because I am 100% not ordinary, 100% not basic, but also 100% a leader who fights for inclusivity removing ALL SORTS of prejudices Leaders I want to ask you, have you ever tracked and analyzed your results? Have you reviewed your policies and contracts? Have you ever turned a speaking engagement or brand deal down because it did not align with your higher purpose of inclusion.
