Good Day Friends of Quilts of Valour, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this message finds you safe and well.... I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers who throughout the COVID 19 pandemic have remained focused on the mission of QOV. It has been such a joy to see all of the quilt presentations taking place again across the country. I applaud volunteers and recipients for their ability to apply current social distancing and safety practices so we can continue to present our quilts. Since its conception as a charity, QOV has relied on donations and volunteers to achieve its success. Many of the fundraising initiatives we have relied on such as quilt shows have not been possible this year. Most of the beautiful quilts you have been seeing presented over the previous months have been made with supplies we had available before the pandemic. At this time, we have depleted the supplies needed to make our quilts. As a result, the time has come for us to reach out for your support. Your monetary donations will go directly towards the supplies needed for completing our quilts. Good day to all my crafting friends, As many of you know, my family and I were a foster family for many years, the last 2 children we welcome into our family were Jade and Jasmyne. they were adopted in a fabulous family. Sep 11, Jasmyne, 4 went to CHEO with her mom for a severe stomach pain and was diagnosed with cancer later that night. She has been in the hospital ever since....Continue reading
