Great for gross motor development & crossing the midline!!
Ahhh, hit me RIGHT in the feels!!!! Miss my kiddos like crazy, can’t wait to be back in the classroom exploring and learning !!!
(Aside from my own 3 ,) these kiddos make my world go round! This year is like no other, and some moments/days/weeks are not easy, but my 34 bonus kiddos make it all worth it
We had a different kind of preschool morning. We sorted by colours, counted boxes, and worked on those muscles!!! (Their faces say, This is HARD! but I promise every child helping, ASKED to help!) THANK YOU to our amazing families (and their support team) for purchasing pizza kits! Please double check your orders to ensure all is correct.
I will wear a red poppy! Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing us peace ! We have spent time over the last couple weeks talking about peace. When first asked what they thought peace was, majority said quiet . Well ya, that too ..... but we dug a little deeper and had great discussions about feeling safe, being caring and kind, loving, and accepting. Today we remember those that helped us have peace in our world, so we can have peace in our classroom. Here are... a couple songs we have been singing: https://youtu.be/SZHV2YasXxI https://youtu.be/tKYBsdcVJNg (replace Memorial Day with Remembrance Day)
Reminder, there is NO school tomorrow as our centre is a Voting Station. Keeping our children safe by eliminating unnecessary interactions with the general public. Stay safe!
Exciting Friday night over here opening a shipment of new arrivals!!! Seriously, it’s EXCITING!!! I can’t wait to use these materials in the classroom. Those hands.... the snap letters.... phonics bubbles.... number bubbles.... a new scale.... SO many fun things!!!!!
Our week!! Our art was a total flop so poppies were not made. Sometimes process art ends up with absolutely zero product. So instead, out went some paper and scissors, drawing materials and left over book orders. I was annoyed that the plan fell through, but there were zero complaints and I was instantly reminded that it’s OK when it doesn’t all work out. We got new puzzles so we spent a LOT of time with those this week (hence why that is where the majority of pictures too...k place lol). My groups this year are very into puzzles, so some of our fundraising money was used purchased more advanced puzzles. We love them, so thank you to everyone for the continued fundraiser support!! Although I did get a, The puzzles are great..... but maybe you could buy some new play dough.... Play dough is still being held off on, but hopefully soon . We also enjoyed a lot of outside time. With the weekend forecast, we had to take advantage of the beautiful fall weather!!!
