The Coaching question this week ties into the season of spring and an opportunity to reset and renew with the change of seasons and longer days.

I believe in the mindset of possibilities - even when things feel overwhelming. There is always a space for new perspective and small shifts. I'm curious to see what emerges when you ask yourself this question.

In the Inspired Results Learning Lab, we choose the book Making Work Human for this month. One section that really stuck out for me was where they talked about celebrations. "Our surveys show that celebration is one of the most appreciated ways to create community in a workforce. Workplace anniversaries are traditional celebrations as people reach 1, 5, and 10 years or more with a company." I have been creating Celebration Circles in my workshops and have been inspired by the impact this has for shifting the emotional energy of a team! What have been your biggest learnings from the book?

As we prepare to take a break for the Holiday Season, I'm reflecting on how this year will look differently than it has in the past. After a year that was so demanding, I'm taking this time to rest and reflect with all that was. So I wanted to ask all of you, how are you showing up for yourself this Holiday Season? I'm very grateful for the space for more quiet relaxation.

This month in the Inspired Results Learning lab, we're reading Change Your Questions, Change Your Life by Marilee Adams. I've had so many great learnings from the book and one of the most important takeaways was the concept of the Judger Vs Learner Mindset. It's an ongoing journey for me recognize and acknowledge when judgement shows up and intentionally shift to a learner mindset, and I know I've made big progress from I started. One of my favorite quotes from the book that speaks to making this shift is this one: "Things happen to us all the time. You don’t have much choice about that. But where we do have choice is in what we do with what happens. It's not too late to join me in reading this book again and I'd love to hear some of your favorite quotes or key messages you took away.

A really interesting article by Harvard Business Review shared that the companies who have lead with humanity, meaning, they put their staff and customers first over profits, have been able to manage the pandemic better than those companies who favoured profits (and were met with backlash and boycotts).
