I received love from my sponsor and that love was a good example," said Kong. "My sponsor always responded to my letters, wrote great encouraging words. Also, ...she told me, 'study hard and play hard'. And she asked me about my dream. I told her that I want to be a medical doctor." With the support and love of his family, his "sponsored mum" and World Vision staff, former sponsored child Kong finished his nursing degree and now works in his community in Cambodia. It's inspiring to see Kong's dedication to and passion for his local community!

#ColourToConquer is a great way for kids to give back and support cancer research. And being able to show off bright and colourful hair at school is an added pe...rk! Seven-year-old Georgia smashed her initial goal of $1,200 in less than a week and kept bumping it up as she kept meeting her goal. She ultimately raised over $2,600 for cancer research at The Princess Margaret. Georgia participated in honour of her grandma who died of cancer four years ago. She also recruited her friend Celina to participate with her. "I hope that one day we are able to cure cancer and no one else will have to lose their grandmas or other people they love to cancer," says Georgia. Thank you for your support, Georgia!

Yemen is facing the world's worst humanitarian crisis. 2019 marks 3 years since since the closure of Sana'a commercial airport, meaning people are trapped in a ...conflict zone. CARE spoke to children about what they know about airplanes and what they told us was heart wrenching. Find out more about what's happening in Yemen, how CARE is responding and what you can do to help at https://care.ca/projects/yemen-crisis/

"I was so honored to travel to Rwanda with staff from Inspire. It was an experience of a lifetime. When we arrived at a community we were always greeted with such an unbelievably warm welcome. At a visit to one of the Early Education Centers we were greeted with dancing and 200 children singing a local song. It was wonderful to experience their culture. This experience will live in my heart and mind always." - Pat N.
