One of my least favourite words in the horse world... Herdbound A horse being herdbound should not be seen as a bad thing, it means we are allowing our horses to live like horses. We should be working around our horses happiness and figuring out how to deal with this. ... Not solving the issue by keeping your horse alone. This is unfair and I promise you, your horse is not the happiest he/she can be. Often you will hear people say no, I can’t ride my horse alone or separate my horse because they are herdbound I really want to change this to no, I can’t ride my horse alone or separate them at the moment because we are still working on trust, relationship and training Because really that’s what it comes down to.... trust and training. If you are struggling to figure this out, please seek help.
