These thunderstorms are producing heavy torrential rainfall, strong gusty winds, intense thunder & lightning as well as some small pea-sized hail. If in the area, please seek indoor shelter! if you can not, go to the lowest ground and stay away from trees and water. Any pets should be brought in and windows closed. ... ~ James

The line of storms has pretty much dissipated, However there are still a few storm cells around. A few non-severe thunderstorms are still possible over next few hours. Thunderstorms are expected to be completely gone by 4am. ... Thunderstorms over Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Cape Breton Nova Scotia is no longer expected. Digby, Greenwood, Amherst, Kentville, New Glasgow & Truro are the only ones left who are seeing some thunderstorms or still have a slight chance. These storms seem to be picking up steam and may enter counties sooner than expected. They are also maintaining Intensity. Some of these storm cells are capable of producing:... - Torrential heavy rains that may cause local flash flooding - small pea to nickel size hail - Intense loud thunder - Strong gusty winds up to 90 km/h - intense cloud to GROUND lightning These are cloud to ground storm cells which are one of the most dangerous compares to cloud to cloud.
