#TermTuesday Un-Planned Air Leakage (Also: Porosity) Air flow entering or leaving the building via gaps and holes in the thermal enclosure which are not part of the planned rate of air exchange calculated for the building. May be driven by wind acting on the exterior of the building, stack-effect (buoyancy) within the building, or improperly sized ventilation equipment. Properly constructed, the "clear-wall area" constructed with Quad-Lock has ZERO air porosity.
