The Commissioning Technician role working from the project site, is responsible for the project specific testing, repairs, operational checks, and the organization of Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning work on the project, to the highest safety and quality levels within time constraints. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for adhering to and executing all safety measures as implemented by corporate safety policies and project supervision Assist project ...commissioning lead and project supervision to ensure commissioning systems are coordinated with construction work packages, engineering and procurement. Review and implementation of site-specific requirements including but not limited to, permit to work and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures. Firm knowledge of P&IDs, Flow Diagrams, Single Line Diagram, Network Architecture Drawings and engineering registers and how they relate to system test requirements Ensure adherence to all local regulations and statutory requirements in site activities planning Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience: Required: The successful candidate should possess an Electrical trades ticket with relevant commissioning experience, Power Systems Electrician Ticket, or an Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized institute. Testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry. Testing and commissioning knowledge as per NETA/IEEE standards. Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs coupled with strong computer skills. 3+ years in Testing & Commissioning Strong personal skills including work ethic, communication and problem-solving skills Assets: Relay testing with fully automated test equipment (Omicron CMC356) and test data management. Primary equipment testing using specialized equipment and involving power transformers, reactors, circuit breakers, CT’s, PT’s, surge arrestors, disconnect switches, cap and reactor Banks, etc. NETA Testing Certification Typical shift will be 14/14 (Most Common), and 14/7 Mandatory Drug & Alcohol

In 2017, he was promoted to Vice President Projects, a position responsible for the execution of major projects, contract negotiation, and oversight of all project management resources. As part of Brendan’s new role, he will be implementing the company’s corporate strategy and vision as well as determining and executing the company’s short and long term goals, and building strategic partnerships.
