Updated info relating to the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy is attached for your review. The emergency measure has not been passed in the legislature at this time. As a result, the government is now making reference to the proposed measure. With all the conflicting info that is being shared, I thought it would be appropriate to provide an update. Stay well!... The Province of Ontario has announced the mandatory closing of all non-essential businesses effective March 24 at 11:59 pm. The closure is an attempt to address the spread of COVID-19 and will be mandated for 14 days. The government will release a list of ...essential businesses that will be allowed to remain open on Tuesday. I believe that certain manufactures, transportation firms, grocery stores, pharmacies and take-out restaurants will remain open. As mentioned above, the government will provide additional details tomorrow. Client updates will be provided upon receipt of specific details. Many organizations have introduced business contingency measures with numerous employees working from home. Although working remotely, we remain available to field calls and provide support.
