Sometimes the more uncomfortable moments are the ones where we learn something about ourselves
Thank you @_itsahappyworld_ for this simple yet impactful illustration on self-care! Self-care can be the simple things such as taking a break from work and going for a walk, enjoying a bubble bath for a change, saying no to things you really don’t want to commit to and that’s okay, listening to music while you work, and calling a friend to talk. Self-care doesn’t always require you to spend money or make detailed plans. Just ask yourself, what do you need to do today to feel happy?
Knowledge is power. The more we know and understand, the kinder we can be towards others.
We are listening. We see you. We hear you. We stand by you. #blacklivesmatter #supportothers #loveislove #spreadlovenothate #educateyourself #advocateforchange
It can be difficult to ask for support and be honest about how you’re feeling. So, we love that #childrensmentalhealthweek and #cmhamentalhealthweek focused on spreading the word about this! Check out some of our staff’s messages of care, support and hope! @ Ajax, Ontario
Inspire your child to be creative, to be curious, to be inventive, to find new interests or hobbies, to care for others, to look for things that are different and unique, to care for their mental health along with their physical health and to try new things. All of this shapes the person they will become and the choices they make.

Today is #BellLetsTalk Day throughout Canada, and this year’s theme is #EveryActionCounts. We all experience mental health, and with or without a diagnosis, mental health challenges are still real. It is reported by the Canadian Mental Health Association that 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health challenge or illness at some point in their life. It may feel like big actions are needed to support your mental health, however, every action, big or small, truly does count. For inspiration on how you can promote and support your mental health, check out our story throughout the rest of the day! Please share how you take care of your mental health in the comments below!
The winter blues are real for a lot of people and when the days feel long and it’s darker earlier in the day, it’s not easy. But! There are always two ways you can look at things and try and make the most of your day. Incorporating small moments of joy, such as taking a bath, playing your favourite song and singing out loud in the car, sitting and enjoying a piece of cake or curling up on the couch with your loved ones are moments of self-care to break you out of your winter blues for just a moment
