Kelly has recently expanded her hours at Interactive Counselling! She is a pivotal part of our team, and is now working Monday to Friday, including 3 evenings a week! She is adaptable, easy going, and has worked heavily with multiple diagnoses (including but not limited to: ADD/ADHD, Autism, PTSD, Trauma, Schizophrenia, etc.). On November 11th, I can't help but remember my Grandparents. They were two of the strongest people I have ever met. I am thankful for the stories that they shared with me. The struggles. The fear. The pain.The triumph. And believe it or not, the jokes. Something my Baba (Grandma) taught me was patience. To sit. To listen. To pay attention. She would spend hours telling me about war times. Her stories of hiding, being scared, and even being shot. She brought out books, showed ...pictures, and went into great detail. Although she is gone, I will never forget. Not only will I remember for the rest of my days, I will share the stories with. my kids. It is important that we don't take these stories for granted. Although we cannot imagine what they went through, we can share what they have taught us. I absolutely love talking about the stories my Baba shared with me. She will always live on through me. Thank you to everyone who have sacrificed their lives, their physical health, mental health and family. On this day, we remember.

Christmas this year is different. Between restrictions, lack of normalcy, and financial stress (just to list a few), this year may be a tough one for you!! The holiday season comes with its own issues at the best of times. But this year, we have little to no control! (Can you feel your anxiety creeping higher when you read that?) This year, we feel loss. In a time that we normally celebrate, many of us are grieving. Many people are experiencing feelings of being isolated, lo...w, and not themselves. All of the feelings that you are feeling are understandable (no matter what those feelings are). We are in a time that is confusing, scary, and unfair. Let's just say it---this sucks! We have received so many requests for help and we are responding to the need. Our Counsellors are here for you, even during the holiday season. We will be open most of the week leading up to Christmas, and in between Christmas and New Years. Our Counsellors are available for in office, online and phone sessions.
