An interesting approach to consider. Admitting the idea is controversial, Edmonton city councillor Scott McKeen is proposing a safe supply drug program to address the overdose crisis. There’s so much stigma and shame around addiction. I guarantee you there are people in very nice homes going off to work every day who are addicted to opioids. But they are so profoundly shamed they don’t have a way out of it.
