"The Interior Logging Association entered into a Labour Market Partnership agreement with the Provincial Government, as part of their role as an advocate for the forestry contracting community, to accurately identify and report on the overall impact of the forestry crisis facing the Interior Region of British Columbia. The scope of the project was to collect pertinent information as to what each business is facing, and make recommendations on how the BC Government can assist ...moving ahead financially, and through supplementary support programs. In order provide an accurate picture of the magnitude of the forestry crisis, the interior Logging Association reached out to business owners and individuals who have been directly affected within the BC Interior Region. It was a year ago today that we launched our first TEAAM mission. On that mission we were able to bring the golden hour to our critically injured patient, tre...at and medicate his injuries on scene, and reduce his transport time to a trauma centre to 1/10 the traditional timeframe. Our patient received rapid surgical intervention at a trauma centre. As a result of our treatment and transport choices, combined with the incredible work of the BCEHS Flight and Ground Paramedics and the Trauma Centre Team, our patient is walking today. Our patient received the best possible outcome. WorkSafeBC and the taxpayer saw reduced treatment and rehabilitation costs of up to $9,000,000 in potential savings. We were able to witness our program make the difference that we hoped it would. Since then, we’ve been able to make a difference a numerous other patients lives. These are some of our supporters that are making this possible; Blackcomb Helicopters - Innergex - TB Vets - ZOLL EMS and Fire - Holmatro Rescue World - Clarius Mobile Health - Truck Loggers Association - Interior Logging Association - Westpac Rescue - Auckland - The BC Forest Safety Council - Global Rescue - Air Zermatt AG - MERET - Milwaukee Tool North America - Helicopter Rescue NZ - Association of Canadian Mountain Guides - Helly Hansen - WorkSafeBC - Western Forestry Contractors Association - Conterra Inc. Those companies above have played a part in allowing us to get to where we are today. As well, there are so many others that have been a critical part in our learning and most importantly our success. You all have helped in the improved outcomes to our patients. For that we thank you.

On September 25th, 2019, the Interior Logging Association (ILA) was part of a historic moment in the history of British Columbia’s harvesting history. Many of our members, executives, directors and staff travelled to Vancouver as part of the bclogging convoy. We would like to take this time to acknowledge the following individuals and organizations: Frank Etchart and staff at Nadina Logging Howard McKimmon and staff at Howard McKimmon Trucking Shelley Stewart and staff at Ba...rS Ventures Jerry Canuel, RPF (Retired) Megan Preston, Media Relations RCMP CVSE VPD The support that was shown to all of us, starting north of Prince George and continuing all the way to our final destination at the Vancouver Convention Center was overwhelming and very much appreciated. And finally, to all those who participated, the level of professionalism, safety and the passion that was shown for our industry makes us very proud to be a part of the forest industry in British Columbia. To the many more who we have missed, our sincerest apologies. See more
