In 2020, the Five Dollar Club contributed $17,500 to nine organizations that benefit patients and residents from across the region. For the next nine days we will post about each donation that was given from the 2020 Five Dollar Club fund. Manitoba Possible receives $1,500! Winnipeg River Car Club gives generously to the Lac du Bonnet Adult Day Program! Winnipeg River Car Club is a group of auto enthusiasts that formed a club to go on cruises and attend car shows. The club holds their annual Show and Shine in Lac Du Bonnet every Canada Day weekend. All funds raised by the club are done so via raffle. The funds left after expenses and prizes are donated by vote of the club to identified needs in various local organizations.... Winnipeg River Car Club president Ken Lodge is grateful to be able to provide support to the Adult Day program in Lac du Bonnet. We believe in helping as broadly as possible with what we have at our disposal. As you can appreciate, funds vary from year to year and this year we have been fortunate to be able to provide support. Executive director of the Interlake Eastern Health Foundation Pamela McCallum acknowledges the club’s work and is grateful to all the members for their generosity. Our programs are continuously supported by local residents, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the Winnipeg River Car Clubs generosity. Each and every donation the foundation receives is hard at work enhancing local, dedicated patient and resident care.
