Halloween fireworks at the Community Hall: Thanks everybody for coming out tonight. We handed out lots of chili, hot dogs, hot chocolate and candy bags for the kids and hope everybody had a good time. The Interlakes Volunteer Fire Department did once again a great job with the fireworks and they supplied all the firewood for our bonfire where the adults could warm up while the kids were playing at the playground lit up by lights from the IVFD - Thanks guys!!! Thanks also ...for being considerate and keeping your distance, wearing masks or just enjoying the fireworks out of your cars. Happy Halloween and stay safe everyone! See more

Thanks for everybody who came out for our playground opening ceremony. The weather cooperated and we had sun for almost two and half hours before the rain sat in. Big thank you also to Margo Wagner our CRD chair and Willow MacDonald our area L director who joined us. It was our first little fundraiser for Phase II of our playground and we got already one big donation which we are really grateful for.

Come and participate in our new stretching class!!! Every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 - 9 am. Bring your own mat or get one from the Hall and if you are not comfortable to go down on a mat you can also do it in a chair. Stretching is good for your overall well being and with fall/winter coming up and not much outdoor activities you still want to stay fit and agile. Drop in fee is $ 2 for members or $ 3 for non=members

We finally found a new place that distributes our frozen meals. They are now available Wednesday to Saturday in the Indoors Farmers Market on Birch Ave in 100 Mile House. We deliver weekly fresh prepared meals which are all cooked from scratch, low in sodium and in microwavable containers. The senior size meals are frozen and thanks to grants and donations and all the hard work of our volunteers we are able to sell them for only $ 4 each.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! In order to get the new playground at Interlakes Hall assembled, we will need a group of volunteers to help us with this project. Planned delivery for the equipment is Thursday, Aug 6, and we would need to start pretty much right away, and more than likely need a few days to get it done. We're looking for people who are ok with lifting and ideally can bring their own powertools. Lots of elbow grease is needed :-) Exact dates to be determined and depend on weather and delivery date, but if you can spare a day ormore, and are willing to help, please message or email the Hall, or phone Maggie in the office at 250 593 4869, she will coordinate everybody and have instructions for COVID-19 protocols to make sure everybody is safe. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Interlakes Community Centre 09.05.2020

EXCITING NEWS!! We're breaking ground for the new playground! The equipment is finally on the way up here, likely to arrive next week. A big THANK YOU to Bill from Levick Enterprises Ltd and Gary Cleveland (Crystal Waters Quarter Horses), who got this wonderful project started!

For everybody's attention: In the parking lot of our Community Hall are several old power poles donated to us by BC Hydro. We are going to use them for building our playground which we will start soon and upgrade our Rodeo grounds . They are not for free and whoever took some already was not welcome to do so!!! We actually would appreciate to get them back!!! So far we never had an issue with anything stolen from us and it's a sad thing for a community that it happens at all.
