Dharma talks by Abbot Jampa Soepa Rinpoche THURSDAY, JUNE 25 at 7:00pm Power of Compassion & mind of enlightenment: How one can cultivate these amazing emotions that can transform all suffering and setbacks into spiritual awakening. Venue: Knox United Church (Labyrinth Room) 506 4 St SW SATURDAY, JUNE 27 at 2pm Karma: Its cause and effect: How through practice one can ensure future happiness. Venue: Phuong Lien Temple 319 4909 17 ave SE. ABOUT THE MASTER: Abbot Jampa Soepa Rinpoche joined Zongkar Choede Monastery at age 15 and was ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He received teachings and empowerments from many highly realized masters of Tibetan Buddhism, including His Holiness the. After his studies, he served as the "Lopon" (ritual master) of the monastery. In 2004 he was appointed the abbot at Kyidong Thuk-Che-Choling Nunnery in Nepal. There he introduced many highly successful reforms such as changing the curriculum of the nunnery from a ritual-oriented routine to more academic studies that included the training of the nuns in dialectics and creating the sacred art of mandala (a practice previously restricted to monks) Today, Ven Soepa serves as the Abbot of Dzongkar Choede Monastery and is responsible for the care and education of 265 monks. Ven. Abbot Soepa is a great scholar and highly respected and compassionate teacher, known for his clear explanation of his teachings and is loved by all his students. He has been invited several times to Europe, America, Canada and Japan to give teachings and empowerments. He is also a master in Buddhist Mandala Arts and Rituals and is well versed in the sutras and tantras.

MEDICINE BUDDHA MANDALA for Healing Calgary Public Library-Central Library 616 Macleod Trail SE (Downtown). This Mandala will be created in Calgary by Ven. Khenpo Jampa Soepa Rinpoche and the Monks of Zongkar Choede Monastery Wed. June 24 25, 26 (10:00am-2:00pm) and Sat, June 27 (10:00am-12:00). Everyone is welcome to come and experience this Sacred Art of Tibet. Stay for a minute or as long as you wish.

SAND MANDALA in Calgary June 2015 Further information Zongkar Choede Monastery was built in 1270 and became one of largest repositories of Tibetan sacred art and spiritual training. Dear Friends: We are so happy to let you know that Khen Rinpoche and two Monks from Zongkar Choede Monastery will be arriving in Calgary on June 20, 2015. They will be creating several Sand Manadals while here for the benefit of all beings. These will be open to the public. You are invited to come and watch the creation of these Sacred Arts that promote compassion, wisdom and peace. We will post the schedule as soon as it becomes available.

I would like to take this time to Thank all of the Venerables who attended this year and shared their wisdom with us. I would also like to Thank the numerous volunteers who so generously donated their time and talent. For an Event like this one to come to life, it takes many people. I am so grateful for this opportunity to come together in a spirit of Peace.... If you were unable to attend this year, I hope you will enjoy these photos and for those who were in attendance, I hope that will provide warm memories.
