On behalf of Community Living Oakville’s Board of Directors, I announce that Janet Lorimer has made the decision to retire from Community Living Oakville at the end of July, after over 9 years at the helm. Janet’s amazing career of service has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for person’s with developmental disabilities, spanning more than 40 years. A remarkable record of service. Janet will be greatly missed by so many across the Developmental Services sector.... Please join me in congratulating and thanking Janet for all that she has accomplished over the past nine years. With the upcoming retirement of Janet, the Board has undertaken and completed a detailed process to select Janet’s successor. I am delighted to announce that Alexandra Hoeck Murray has been to be the next Executive Director. Alexandra, is currently the Director of Services and Quality Enhancement. Over the years she has been committed to helping people in Canada and abroad, including involvement with Amnesty International, Global Youth Network in Brazil, Save the Children Canada, Alternatives for Youth Hamilton and other organizations.
