On this shortest day and the longest dark night, the Winter Solstice invites us to slow down our busy lives and and take the time to breathe, look inward and r...emember Light always shines the brightest in the dark, just as flowers eventually emerge out of the darkness of winter, we can use this powerful metaphor to remind ourselves of our own inner light. A gentle reminder that we will be gathering this coming Friday evening 7 pm. to open our hearts and share in special celebration of the season at the Marshland Centre in Lakefield. There will be no charge for this event but donations will be gratefully accepted for the Kawartha Wildlife Centre who are tirelessly working to create a space to provide shelter and medical care to sick or injured wildlife.
