Having so much fun training Tommy Gun! Tommy is a 3 year old quarter horse who, a few months ago, had a long trailer ride he didn't enjoy. Now he's not so keen to go back in the trailer! Here's a video of him target training inside the horse shelter in his field. We've built up his target training so that he will follow the target all over the field, so now I'm working on volleying 'moving around the field' with 'dark places' so we can eventually have some happy trailer loading feelings :) https://youtu.be/ozRhpxrPapo

Nail trimming! Are you worried about trimming your dog or cat's nails, but can't find a groomer to help out? Follow these tips for a stress free nail trimming experience for both you and your pet. 1. Invest in a good set of trimmers and a small bag of penne pasta. 2. Using your spangly new trimmers, get really comfortable using them to take small slivers of pasta off a piece of penne. 3. Once you can wield your trimmers upside down and in other awkward ways, you can bring you...r dog or cat into the equation. 4. Show your dog or cat the trimmers and give them a yummy treat. Do this a few times, then take a small sliver of nail off an easy to reach toenail and give them another yummy treat. 5. Repeat step 4 until you are really comfortable taking off those slivers and your pet gets excited about nail trims! 6. Take it slow! Get to know your pet's nails. Once you gain confidence you can even offer to trim a friend's dog's nails!! See more
