So it's been a long time since conditions were right for a milkyway shoot, I checked the weather, Moon cycle, galactic center visibility... But when I put my tripod down to capture a timelapse on my genie mini, I didn't factor in the tides. I only got through a third of my recording as the tide was all the way up to my camera. Plan all you want, but be prepared to have another variable mix it all up
