Inverness Gathering Run, Walk and Fun Run

4 more sleeps until the kids Port Hood Triathlon. The triathlon is open to kids 5-12. It focuses on participation and is an excellent way to introduce kids to t...he sport of triathlon in a safe and non-competitive manner. Race distances are challenging, yet are short enough to be completed. The distances vary and it is all for FUN! Everyone receives a medal and we do not record the time/ placing. Distances 5, 6, 7- 25 m swim, 250 bike, 500 m run 8, 9 ----- 50 m swim, 500 bike and 750 m run 10- under 12----- 100 m swim, 3 km bike and 2km run. We also allow teams if a participant is not comfortable with an aspect of the event . Helmets are also required.

Just a reminder that there is a 5 km and 5 Mile run and walk in Broad Cove tomorrow. It begins at 9:00 from the church with a good fiddle tune to get you in gear. The route is along the scenic Broad Cove Marsh Road. There is no registration fee for this run. Please share.

The Race committee would like to thank everyone for coming out to participate in and cheer on all of the participants of the 2018 Kids Fun Run, 5 km and 5 Mile Run. Also, a big thank you to all of the volunteers that help make this day a success. This morning’s show of community spirit was a great way to kick off the Inverness Gathering! ***There was a small blue cardigan and a small white (female)Puma hat found at the track.
