Well that's pretty much a week in the books, heres a quick photo recap of the Journey thus far. And remember, were are open every week day: 12 - 8pm for your c...onvenience, 10-5 on Saturday. In Loving Memory of "The King of The Cowboys" "Big R" Roy Ionson. He will never be forgotten, and we will be forever grateful for what he has built. May we forever honour his legacy.

How do you honour the founding Father???? Many thoughts have crossed my mind. Do I close the store for a week? This is what I feel like doing, but nothing close...d Ionson’s saddlery, do we have a massive sale? If you know Roy Absolutely not!!!!! Never once did he ever have a sale and he was proud of that. I’ve finally come to the conclusion, we will continue business as usual, the coffee maker is ready, the most important part of the store is ready the chair and bench, it’s always been the Roy section, where ppl can sit and chat. I am inviting all friends, customers, and fans of Roy to come by the store to share his stories or stories of him, please bring them by, in written form, audio recordings or video, or we can record or tape them at the store. The best we can do is salvage the history he had stored in his memory. Today we lost our Dad, Husband and Grandfather. After a brief illness he leaves us to go build a Tack Store and ride Horses in a green pasture full of Cattle in... heaven. Dad, Roy Ionson was Mr. Western Horseman. He started it all here in Ontario and all over Eastern Canada. Where does one begin to talk about a legend within the Horse Industry? He will be missed by all of us reading this. Due to the Pandemic, we will hold a family only funeral. However we will have a BIG celebration of life party for Dad once it is safe to do so.
