Instructor Spotlight - Ivan Hartle. Ivan started his baseball career with Highlands Little League, moving on to play his high school baseball with the Coquitlam Reds. He was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team in 2008-2009 before heading of to play college baseball at Iowa Western Community College. In 2010 Ivan was awarded NJCAA Div 1 defensive player of the year and the NCJAA Rawlings Gold glove award. Also in 2010 he played in the NJCAA World Series, winning the most outstanding defensive player and MVP of the tournament. After junior college Ivan finished his baseball career playing NCAA Div 1 baseball at Western Kentucky University. Ivan is a regular instructor at IP and the head instructor of our summer camps. @ivanhartle

We thought we would take it up a notch for the last camp of the summer. Our high performance camp is for those that played on all star, AAA or AA teams. We will be focusing on advanced baseball skills and concepts. This camp is filling up very quickly. If you would like to register call 604.980.0085 or email [email protected]

Inside Performance Summer baseball camps are back!! Summer camps are the perfect balance between fun and skill development. The 4 day camps will cover all aspects of the game, taught through drills and games. We have changed our camp format this year and are only offering half day camps (9am-noon and 1pm-4pm) we will be following all the provincial COVID-19 guidelines to keep campers and coaches safe. Inside Performance Player Spotlight - Tristan Graham. Tristan played his high school baseball with the North Shore Twins. He went on to play college baseball at Northeast Texas Community College. In 2015 he was drafted in the 22nd round by the Baltimore Orioles. Tristan has been a regular at IP since it opened in 2011. He is currently an instructor at IP when he is home during the off season.

Inside Performance Player Spotlight - Curtis Taylor. Curtis has been a regular at IP since 2011. Curtis played his high school baseball with the @coquitlamredspbl before moving on to play at UBC. He was a standout at UBC both as a starter and a reliever. In 2016 he was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 4th round. Since then he has been traded to the Tampa Bay Rays and last summer was on the move again being traded to the Blue Jays. He is currently in the Jays minor league system working through the ranks hoping to take the field with Canada’s team in Toronto.

Inside Performance Player Spotlight - Will Mcaffer. Will has been a regular user of IP since 2012, he graduated from Sentinel Secondary in 2015. During the same year he was also a member of the Canadian Jr National Team and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 32 round. He chose to go to school and made stops at South Dakota State, Central Arizona and Finally Tulane University. The Blue Jays drafted him in 2018 in the 25th round. He currently plays in the Blue Jays Minor league system and is a member of the Canadian Men’s national team. He has played in the Premier 12 World Championships and the 2019 Pan Am Games. Will is also an instructor at Inside Performance when he is home during the off season.

Inside Performance is now offering remote baseball training! All you have to do is take some video of yourself at home performing your baseball skills (hitting, pitching, fielding) and share them with us. Our coaches will do a detailed mechanical evaluation of your skills, provide quality feedback and drills that you can do at home to improve your performance. If you are a regular IP customer please remind us of the coaches that you have been working with and we will connect you with them remotely. You will have the opportunity to pick up your skill development where you left off. For more details on this please contact Brooks at [email protected]

We are closed for the time being. Trying to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID -19. The health and safety of our customers and employees is always our top priority! To our knowledge no one with the virus used the facility prior to our closing. We will be back up and running as soon as we can!

As winter training starts to wrap up and teams move outside it is sad to see the regulars go. Thank you North Shore Stars for spending the winter with us! Good luck this season! We will be here when the rainouts start! Finally we know we are a little late on this but happy International Women’s Day!
