Longitudinal evolution of physical activity during and after chemotherapy for breast cancer Girouard, Alicea; Michel, Alexandraa; Ouellet, Marie-Michèlea; Guimond, Anne-Joséea,b,c; Ruel, Sophiea,b,c; Ivers, Hansa,b,c; Savard, Joséea,b,c, Previous research has found that, on average, breast cancer patients tend to become less active during chemotherapy and to increase slightly their physical activity (PA) level afterwards. However, patients may show distinct trajectories of P...A during and after chemotherapy. Objectives were to: investigate the global evolution of PA before (T1), during (T2), and after chemotherapy (T3), as well as 3 (T4) and 6 (T5) months later; document the distinct trajectories of PA from T1-T5; and explore the moderating effect of the initial PA level on subsequent PA trajectories (T2-T5). Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Mental Health in Oncology Research Position Summary: The Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at McGill University is accepting applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in research on mental health and social determinants of health in oncology. This position will be based at the Lady-Davis Institute for Medical Research of the Jewish General Hospital. This position offers a unique opportunity to... work within a collaborative team-oriented research environment in a world-class facility affiliated with a premier Canadian University. Under the supervision of Dr. Henry, the successful candidate will use longitudinal and experimental methods to study factors and interventions aimed at improving quality of life and reducing health disparities in cancer patients. EDUCATION Candidates must hold a recently obtained relevant PhD or equivalent degree, received within the past three years. QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity and/or experience with longitudinal studies, interventional studies, and randomized controlled trials; Background in oncology or chronic medical conditions; Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently, while contributing to the efforts of a larger research team; Ability to design and carry out research independently; Exceptional computational skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The candidates will be expected to give oral presentations and take part in writing manuscripts, grant proposals, and project reports.
