A student working with CHEO has reached out in hopes to distribute a survey to pharmacists and pharmacy students around the globe. If you have a minute to fill out the survey he would find it very helpful. "Through the department of pharmacy at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and through the CHEO Research Institute, Dr. Regis Vaillancourt and his investigative team are conducting an REB approved short anonymous survey to assess the concerns, beliefs, and attitudes... surrounding being a pharmacist across Canada (as well as in countries where medical cannabis is legalized). This study is being done because cannabis continues to be legalized in more and more countries and is being used for the medical treatment of multiple diseases and disorders. In Canada, pharmacists still cannot dispense cannabis, but it is likely that this will not always be the case. It will be very helpful if you could distribute this survey to network, as this study will be a timely assessment of the current feelings surrounding how pharmacists perceive providing information on Medicinal and Recreational Cannabis. Note that this survey is for pharmacists, but it can also be completed by pharmacy students. Completion of the multiple choice survey will be considered adequate for consent. Survey Link: https://redcap.cheori.org/surveys/?s=RN3JLTJLXF Thank-you for your co-operation. If you have any questions about the study please feel free to contact Dr. Jameason Cameron, project coordinator and co-investigator for the study, at 613-737-7600 x3449. You may also contact the principal investigator, Dr. Regis Vaillancourt, at 613-737-7600 x 2231."

Half of all mental illness begins by the age of 14, but most cases go undetected and untreated. In terms of the burden of the disease among adolescents, depress...ion is the third leading cause. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among 15-29-year-olds. Harmful use of alcohol and illicit drugs among adolescents is a major issue in many countries and can lead to risky behaviours such as unsafe sex or dangerous driving. Eating disorders are also of concern. - World Health Organization (WHO) #10October #World_Mental_Health_Day #We_are_in_it_together #IPSForg
