Ever wanted to learn digital game design? This free course, for youth ages 9-12, will teach participants the basics of coding in Python using Edublocks. They then use what they learn and apply this to circuits that have been designed to display graphics for game development! Create your own coding project! This free, intermediate course is designed for learners, ages 9-12, who have previously taken our Creative Coding Beginner course. Learners will have the opportunity to create their own coding projects, as well as to explore other coding platforms, games, and activities that help to solidify basic coding concepts. There are many unsolved problems in the world, and sometimes these problems aren’t seen from all angles. This course seeks to create a more imaginative way of viewing and designing solutions. Inspire creativity through coding for youth ages 9-12. This free program will introduce youth to how computers think, and provide basic coding concepts like algorithms, sequences, loops, conditionals, and functions. Working with the open-source software Scratch, participants will explore block-based and drag-and-drop coding to create fun and interactive experiences.
