2020 was a YEAR! For many it was one of the more difficult years we have faced. The beauty of life is that no matter what obstacles we are faced with, we find a way to get through them. Everyone has grown from the immense pressure created by this year. We don’t always choose to grow, sometimes the path forces us to grow in the moment as we learn to adapt to the situation coming our way. We’ve had a long year full of self reflection, worries, loss, loneliness, but also of love and sharing and strong communities working together. No matter how this year has impacted you, you are walking into 2021 a stronger person whether you feel it or not. It’s never too late or too early to start making changes in your life! Why do we choose arbitrary dates and times to start working on our goals? Is there some kind of magic that happens by starting January first? Or starting your dietary changes next week or after just one cheat meal. Are we not ready to make changes or are we procrastinating and keeping ourselves from moving forward? You’re already thinking about it, why aren’t you doing it? Change is tough, and it’s eas...ier to want it than to put it into practice. The first step to making those changes is...taking that first step. QUIT stopping yourself from making those little changes/new habits. Skip that cheat meal or snack, start your new workout regimen, start enforcing that new habit whatever it may be! A warm welcome to iron aesthetics newest certified personal trainer, Devin Moore! As a personal trainer with a lifelong background in sports and athletics, my passion for fitness stems from three main aspects: mobility, longevity and primary prevention. Mobility is the ability to move from one position to another, which should always be performed free of pain. If you suffer from pain or lack of mobility it is important to understand where restrictions are originating from a...nd how to overcome them. Longevity is maintaining our bodies to continue to be able to do the activities we love. By recognizing safe movement patterns, implementing healthy habits and understanding how our body reacts to the way it is fueled we can increase longevity and prevent disease or harm before it occurs. My goal is to help clients to feel decades younger. Primary prevention is a proactive approach that will allow us to execute everyday movements for many years to come (golfing, curling, bodybuilding, power lifting, chasing grandkids, etc.). Through strength training and proper conditioning we will improve our body composition, increase bone density and increase muscular endurance. I have established results driven methods that are unique to each client to achieve his/her fitness goals.
