Don’t want a mug (WTF eh!!) we got tons of little things that won’t break the bank. We will be open up until Xmas eve for all you sad last minute shoppers...me included haha.

Remember me? Well it’s been just over 7 months since Trudeau’s OIC banning a very long list of firearms. To say that business at Iron Sights has been an ongoing struggle since the OIC is the understatement of 2020. I’ve still got $150k worth of firearms that are listed on the OIC and RCMP’s FRT that I can’t sell. There is still no buy back program as no Canadian company wants to bid on the Government’s proposed buy back contract. Today I just found out that another one of the... Canadian firearms suppliers that I deal with has gone bankrupt. It’s horrible what the Trudeau government has done to big and small firearms business across Canada. My sales are down by 50% since May. When people don’t buy guns they don’t buy ammunition, targets, accessories, optics, holsters, slings, gun bags, eye and ear pro, range clothing etc etc...as everything I stock is directly related to the sale of a firearm. I can’t help but feel like my retirement business is being held hostage and there is no HRO unit coming to rescue me. I did look into the $40k loan for small businesses during COVID-19 but didn’t qualify because I didn’t pay myself a salary in 2019 (FYI Trudeau...I haven’t paid myself a salary since opening in January 2018...that’s what hard working Canadian small business owners do for the first 3 to 5 years of opening in order to slowly build up a successful business. But you wouldn’t know what it’s like to be in our shoes). Since May 1st 2020, I haven’t had a good night’s sleep and have lost 20lbs as a result of shattered nerves. Despite all of the above there is some hope that the CCFR’s lawsuit will succeed and the OIC will be reversed and this horrible nightmare will end. Until then I’ll just push ahead and tread water as best I can like many other small firearms related businesses in Canada are having to do. At the end of the day we will survive as long as you our loyal customers keep shopping at and supporting your local gun store. Anyways Merry Christmas to all (except JT & BB) and here’s to some good news in 2021. God knows we, the law abiding Canadian gun owners and Canadian firearms businesses could use some!! See more
