Today, the application portal for the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) opened. The CERS program provides direct rent and mortgage interest support to eligible tenants and property owners until June 2021. This support is available to businesses, non-profits, and charities that have been impacted by COVID-19. Applications are now being accepted for claim period #1, which is September 27, 2020 to October 24, 2020.
