Tree planting is a core value for J.D. Irving, Limited. It ensures that the forest we own or manage will be sustainable for generations to come. According to a study by Dr. Chris Hennigar from the University of New Brunswick, our entire value chain is carbon negative, absorbing more carbon than it emits. Forest and forest products are critical in the fight against climate change. From replacing carbon intensive building materials and plastics, to providing green energy, to sequestering carbon through well managed forests, the woods in our lives has never been as important as it is today.

We all love wood - in our homes, our furniture, to provide heat, as sustainable packaging and as a place to recreate. We also know that a well managed, diverse forest is the foundation of success. We are guided by an 80-year management plan that incorporates habitat, conservation, recreation, carbon stocks, as well as timber supply. It is important to our business that we continue to plan well into the future!

Please be advised, the following list of private roads located in the Province of New Brunswick / Nouveau-Brunswick and Nova Scotia on private lands owned or managed by J.D. Irving, Limited will be closed for one day and no public access will be permitted for this period. The annual one day spring road closures will take place from 6:00 am., April 13, 2021 to 6:00 am., April 14, 2021.
