It’s the most wonderful time of the year? Yes! Because we have curated twelve days of beautiful gifts for you. Here’s day 1 . Picture this, it’s lightly snowing out, you make yourself a delicious cup of coffee, then light your favourite @sourcedandsalvaged candle (cedarwood to be exact), and finally dive into a 500 piece puzzle by @riflepaperco (the strawberry fields pattern). It’s a perfect snowy holiday afternoon (snow not necessary) . Puzzles, candles, and coffee beans are available in the shop. We are open Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm / Or you can place orders via Email or DM - with complimentary gift wrapping and delivery

We have re-opened for walk in service and it was SO GREAT to see all your sweet faces pop in today. Some of you saw the open sign on and came in to say hello and tell us how much you’ve missed us! I cannot thank you enough for your support this year, for your messages, comments, orders, and well wishes - having worked alone since March it meant a lot. . It is definitely an adjustment being open again for walk ins especially being in the Red Zone in Durham Region. However... we are being diligent and taking precautions to ensure your safety (and ours) is not compromised. And will adjust operations as needed. Dear Friends, Downtown Oshawa BIA is facing a crisis. Below is an excerpt from a letter I sent Oshawa City Council on October 22, 2020 ...I want it to be known that I am opposed to the motion on the floor to completely disband it .... In 2019 the Downtown BIA [finally] came to a good and healthy place. The right people doing the right roles and advocating for every downtown member regardless of your supposed ‘stake’ in the Oshawa business community - I think most members fi...nally felt they were being seen and that someone was championing for them. I cannot thank Amanda and Angela enough for their tireless support. I also cannot commend enough on how the Downtown BIA has handled the impact of COVID-19 - they were in contact with members daily, who does that? NO ONE. They provided business support and technical support and did all the leg work for members to be able to push through with their business. This would have meant a lot especially for businesses that had to quickly adapt to a digital business/e-commerce model that quite possibly may have been foreign to them. Downtown Oshawa is a special place that needs specific attention whether you agree with it or not. Most businesses (save a few) are small independent businesses. They don’t have a corporate office supporting them, they don’t have a team of marketing or product specialists innovating for them, but they have the Downtown BIA that is always fighting and campaigning for them.... [end] Flash forward to this month.There is a group of individuals currently mobilizing AGAINST the BIA being dismantled. Below I quote a few words of the current situation. This year a small minority of people have done enormous damage by pushing one-sided views with Oshawa City Council, and Council instigated an unfair and unsafe process that requires hundreds of BIA members to come vote at City Hall on December 1st during a pandemic, while excluding hundreds of other BIA members from voting... I have tagged supporters, community stakeholders, councillors, and friends for the sole purpose of spreading this message (this post is my opinion) Please share widely. Reach out if you can help. Hey friends! Many announcements and updates in the last few days from the provincial government and a lot of tough decisions being made especially in the restaurant industry - it has been a pretty exhausting and stressful week for everyone and regardless of where you work or live the spread of Covid-19 is affecting all of us. It has been wonderful to see some of your faces this week - and we THANK YOU for stopping in on your way to work or on your lunch break. We will continu...e to be takeout only tomorrow. That said, unfortunately we have made the tough decision to close for a few weeks for our safety - and yours. Thursday March 19 will be our last day. We know a lot of you are social distancing and working from home and we thank you. We hope to be open very soon In the meantime we have a sweet promotion for you. Starting March 18, 2020 thru to April 30, 2020 take 20% off a Gift Card purchase of $50 or more ~ there will be an extra little something added to that at time of purchase too.
