ICN Eid Al Adha announcement. Assalaam u Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh Dear Brothers and Sisters. Please see the ICN guidelines for Salat ul Eid Al Adha.... As per provincial health guidelines, we have a capacity of fifty (50) people per congregation for each hall. Fifty sisters in the women area and 50 brothers in the mens area, with separate entrances and exits. Please follow the social distance guideline strictly. One of the Masjid in Vancouver has been fined for each person and has a citation issued to the Masjid. We are very sorry that ICNe will not be able to accommodate children under twelve at this time. In Sha Allah there will be multiple salats to accommodate all community members aged twelve and over. 1- First Salat- Takbeer starts at 7:00 am. Salat at sharp 7:15am followed by khutbah. 2- Second Salat- Takbeer starts at 7:50 am. Salat at sharp 8:00 am followed by khutbah. 3- Third Salat- Takbeer starts at 8:35 am. Salat at sharp 8:45 am followed by khutbah If we have to, the fourth salat will be at 9:30am followed by khutbah. We are asking all community members to pre register for salat to manage the congregations. If you are bringing family members they also have to be registered. Due to the announcement at Friday's congregation, the first salat is already filled. We have capacity in the second and third salat at this time. Very important- Please register yourself if you are planning to come. Otherwise you may have to wait longer in your car. You can call or text Brother Ashraf to register at 250-802-7156. We are requesting no food or drinks at the congregations. Please see below the guidelines. ... Just to request all to follow the guidelines strictly like we all do at other public places. Jzak Allah Khair. 1- Please bring your own mask and wear it at all times while in congregation and on Masjid premises. 2- Follow social distancing and designated guidelines in the Masjid. 3- Azan will be at 1:30 followed by short Juma Khutbah followed by Salat ul Juma at SHARP 1:45. 4- Please bring your own sujada so we don't have to sanitize after every salat. 5- At this time ICN can NOT provide wadu and washroom facilities. Please come prepared to perform salat. 6- please exit the Masjid after salat in orderly form and drive responsibly in the neighborhood. 7- Very Important. (caring for our neighbour) Please DO NOT gather and socialize outside the Masjid before or after salat 8- Very Important. If you are feeling sick or have flu-like symptoms, cough or sneezing please don't join the congregation. 9-Please don't bring children under 12 and elderly brothers and sisters should also avoid. 10- Masjid will be open for both brothers and sisters. 11- VERY Important. Please try your best to follow the instructions of parking management and park your cars in rear parking. 12- The doors will be shut at sharp 1:45 or earlier If we reach a maximum capacity of 50 . If you are late or we have reached our maximum capacity please do not knock the doors and wait in your car for further instructions. We will accommodate all after the Salat. Please see below short explanation to perform Eid Salat.... Eid Prayer at Home According to Maliki, Shafi, and Hanbali, it is permissible even in regular circumstances for the one who misses the Eid salat at the mosque to perform it at home whether individually or in ) : /. / . / ( .congregation The basis for their ruling is the practice of a companion Anas Bin Malik R.A. who performed Eid prayer at home with his family when he missed it with the Imam. (: ). This is the position adopted by the Fatwa Committee of Muslim jurists of North America in view of the current situation. Please refer to their online fatwa at www.amjaonline.org. Method of Performing Eid Prayer There is a consensus that Eid prayer is of two rakaat with extra takbeerat. According to Hanbali and Maliki, Shafi Fiqh there are 7 takbeerat in the first unit inclusive of the opening takbir and 6 takbeerat in the second rakaat including takbiratul qiyam. In Fiqh Shafi, there are 7 takbirat in the first unit exclusive of the opening tabkeer and the same 6 takbeerat in the second rakaat like Hanbali and Maliki ( : ). Jazak Allah and Eid Mubarak. Paul Manly, MP and currently candidate from the Green Party for this year’s federal elections. Insha Allah he will be be joining us for a short visit at ICN on Saturday Oct 19th at 1:45pm. As you may know, he is the son of Eva and Jim Manly great friends and supporters of our Muslim community. I request everyone to be there on Saturday Oct 19th at 1:30pm. Zuhar Salat will be at 1:35 and Paul Manly will be there before 2:00pm. As voters, it would be good for you to get to know Paul Manly and ask him any questions. Second Visit. Michelle Corfield, Federal Liberal Candidate will be visiting the Center on Sunday Oct. 20th at 3:45 pm. Please join us also on Sunday to welcome her. Again as a voter, it would be good to know Michelle Corfield and ask her any question. If you are in town, please make an effort to come on both days and also inform the others not included in this email. As you know unity and numbers are important as a community and we want to show our strength as a Muslim community in Nanaimo. ICN will provide coffee and some sweets. Takbeer start at: 8:30 AM Eid Salat. (SHARP) 9:00 AM followed by Khutbah followed by light breakfast and Festivities. There will be light breakfast (potluck) after Eid Salat and Khutbah, please try to bring food in separate disposable dishes for brothers and sisters and take back your dishes and the left over food with you.
